DOJ IG Finds FBI Lawyer May Have Altered Carter Page Surveillance Document

Report on FBI's Russia probe to be released next month IG Horowitz found that an FBI agent allegedly altered a document in the FISA probe of the Trump campaign

Despite having a major bombshell website report on DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz's ongoing probe into the origins of the Russian Federation investigation, CNN bizarrely offered very little coverage of its own exclusive reporting on-air.

An FBI agent is reportedly being investigated for allegedly altering a document in the controversial probe of Trump campaign aides.

An FBI spokesman declined comment Friday.

"I look forward to reviewing the report and hearing Mr. Horowitz's testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee, where he will deliver a detailed account of what he found regarding his investigation, along with recommendations as to how to make our judicial and investigative systems better", read a statement from Graham's office.

Page, a former foreign policy adviser to Trump, is at the center of the controversy and says the Democrats keep pushing "fake news" and a "false narrative". "This was an overthrow attempt at the presidency".

The lawyer in question is accused of fudging the document related to the FBI's Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act court warrant application to surveil Carter Page in 2016.

CNN reported the investigation, citing several sources briefed on the matter. "We still don't have the truth, but hopefully, we'll get that soon".

"This is exactly what people close to the president have been saying, that the FBI committed wrongdoing in starting this investigation", said CNN's Manu Raju.

To bolster their request to the surveillance court, the Federal Bureau of Investigation relied at times on claims about the 2016 Trump campaign collected in a dossier of unverified intelligence reports by former British spy Christopher Steele. Barr has appointed U.S. Attorney John Durham to investigate how intelligence was collected, and that probe has since become criminal in nature, a person familiar with the matter has said.

"I think you're going to see things that are going to be incredible if it's done right and I purposefully stay out, I tell Bill Barr to handle everything", he stated.

But Trump insists that members of the Obama administration "at the highest levels" were spying on his 2016 campaign.
